Rallarvegen

Want to ride more?

Our rental in Flåm is located at the end of the famous Rallarvegen bike route. When you ride from Vatnahalsen to Flåm you are riding the last 17 km of the Rallarvegen.

Rallarvegen, following the outskirts of the Hardangervidda Plateau, leads you along the Bergen Railway Line from Haugastøl via Finse, Hallingskeid, Myrdal and down to Flåm.

The route was built to built over 100 years ago when the Oslo-Bergen train line was constructed. The railway constructors' road is a cultural and historic monument. Experience the variety in the landscape with everything from mountains, big rivers, glaciers before your drop down into the fjord.

If you are staying in Flåm we recommend the full day option to take the train to Finse and ride back to Flåm. (5-7 hours riding time).

If you want to ride the whole Rallarvegen the starting point in Haugastøl is also reachable by train from Flåm. The riding time is around 8 hours. (we recommend to use two days).

We have rentals both in Haugastøl and Finse. (you return the bike in Flåm.)
